The Vittoria is a dress belt made in Italian full grain Vachetta, the natural vegetable tanned leather of the Tuscan Leather District, lined in Italian vegetable tanned nubuck in natural honey and finished at a slender 20mm, the width that sits with quiet grace on a dress or high on the waist of a pair of trousers.
Vittoria means victorious, though not in the loud sense of the word. It is the assurance of a woman who has nothing left to prove, and the belt is made in that spirit. It is black, the most composed of colours, cut in Vachetta and finished with a warm gold buckle, so that restraint and confidence sit in the same quiet object.
This belt is cut from Vachetta, a natural vegetable tanned leather from Tuscany. It is tanned slowly, with plant extracts in place of chemicals, in a tradition held for generations. Left close to its natural state, it deepens in tone and takes its patina with wear, so the leather becomes a quiet record of the years it is carried. Because Vachetta is left so close to bare, only a full grain hide of real quality can be used, its surface kept whole rather than sanded away and printed over. There is nowhere for a flaw to hide, and nothing between your hand and the leather.

Keep your belt clean and well conditioned. Wipe it gently with a soft dry cloth to lift dust, and from time to time work in a little neutral leather conditioner to feed the leather and protect its surface. Keep it dry, store it with room to breathe, and away from prolonged damp and direct heat. Cared for in this way, the vegetable tanned leather deepens into a patina that becomes, over the years, unmistakably your own.
