The Risk-Taker

The Risk-Taker is for the one who backs themselves. Not the reckless, but the considered, the person who weighs it, decides, and makes the move while others are still thinking it over.

It is a slim canvas briefcase built to go where that person goes. The body is cotton canvas, light and hard wearing, worked with Spanish full grain pebbled leather at the points that take the most use, the trims, the handles and the base. The pullers are cut from Spanish full grain leather. The canvas softens and the leather darkens with use, so the bag comes to carry the marks of the days you spent making things happen. In khaki beige, it is warm, quiet and sure of itself.

Everything that fastens or carries has been considered. The shoulder strap is canvas and Spanish leather together, hung on imported metalware in a brushed nickel finish with snap hooks and D-rings. The zip is YKK, the lock is metalware in the same finish, and studs along the base lift the bag clear of the ground so the canvas stays clean. A James Aston plate sits on the front, and inside the bag is lined in the James Aston Jacquard.

Inside, it is arranged for real work. A laptop pocket takes a sixteen inch laptop, three card slots and a mobile holder sit where you reach for them, and two pen holders hold the one you actually use. A side pocket closes on a chain for the things you would rather keep secure.

A slim working bag made properly, in honest canvas and Spanish leather, and meant to be kept. Crafted once, and carried for a lifetime.
