The Minimal Sling

The Minimal Sling is for the day that asks you to carry little. A phone, a few cards, a slim tablet, the small necessaries of a morning, and nothing you do not need.

It is made for the person who has pared down what they carry and wants what remains to be right. The leather is Spanish full grain, milled to a soft, lightly pebbled hand that sits easily against you and takes the marks of use with grace. In cognac, it warms as it ages, a colour that looks better in a year than it did on the first day. This is leather chosen to be lived with.

Everything that fastens or carries has been considered. The strap runs on imported metalware in a brushed nickel finish, with D-rings, snap hooks and adjusters that hold their line and let you wear it long across the body or short at the hip. The pullers are cut leather, engraved with the James Aston name, and a name plate sits quietly on the front. Inside, the bag is lined in the James Aston Jacquard, a finish you feel before you see.

For its size, the Minimal Sling keeps a great deal in order. Three card slots and a mobile holder sit where you reach for them. A pocket takes a slim tablet, a side pocket closes on a chain for the things you would rather keep secure, and an outer pocket holds what you reach for most. Two pen holders wait for the one you actually use.

A small bag made properly, in honest leather, and meant to be kept. Crafted once, and carried for a lifetime.
